The 2026 Southern Indiana Angus Association Sale is just around the corner, and we are excited
to again be serving as your sale manager. The sale will once again be held in Little York, IN, on
Saturday, March 28 th at 1 pm.
It is time to select and nominate sale consignments. Attached to this email is the Excel
spreadsheet to nominate your cattle or genetic lots. Be sure to save the file after completion
before attaching and returning it via email. Also, make sure you receive a follow-up email from
us verifying receipt of your nomination. Email the spreadsheet to goldbucklecattle@gmail.com.
If you are mailing via USPS, be sure to complete the form you received that you may copy using
a separate form for each animal or lot. If you have received this information and a paper
nomination form and can complete your nomination electronically, contact us for a
spreadsheet to be emailed to you.
As you are considering your nominations, particular care and attention should be given to the
phenotype, age, and reproductive status that will represent you in the sale. Members of the
sales committee and I are available to discuss and view your nominations, taking into
consideration your expectations and goals. Angus bulls, show and replacement
prospects, bred heifers, production females, donors and donor prospects, and genetic lots may
be nominated for the sale.
The nomination deadline will be January 15th, 2026. The deadline for pictures to be included in the catalog is Feb. 1st. Feel free to contact me with questions or if you would like assistance in
selecting your nominations. The success of the sale depends greatly on the quality and
marketability of your offering.
Take note that a new requirement for all bulls that are not selling at the side of the cow must
have genomic enhanced EPD profiles submitted prior to catalog production.
Again in 2026, we will be webcasting the sale with real-time bidding on CCI Live. Professional
pictures and videos of your consignments are crucial for the success of marketing when utilizing
this tool. Brooklyn Graham will be serving as the administrator for CCI Live and is available to
take pictures and videos or answer any questions you may have. Schedule your pictures and videos early with her at 812-530-0748, or with these suggested photographers: Austin Eglehoff 812-309-4152, Landon Hall 502-741-7875, or Locke St John 615-427-8979. Or feel free to use your own professional livestock photographer. Please name your picture files by your name and the animal’s tattoo number. We reserve the right to reject any photographs or videos for quality.
Please have your photographer contact Brooklyn with formatting information for use on Live
Auctions. Remember the catalog picture deadline of Feb 1 st when scheduling pictures. Pictures of sale lots are encouraged to be emailed to us earlier than the deadlines for use in print and
social media advertisements.
Consider these items while preparing for the sale.
The nomination deadline is January 15th, and the catalog picture deadline is February 1st.
A nomination fee of $100/head MUST also be included by January 15 th and is nonrefundable. Sale consignments will not be cataloged if the nomination fee has not been paid. Make checks payable to Gold Buckle Cattle Services.
A brief footnote must be included with your nomination as an aid in marketing your consignment.
All information must be included on the nomination form, including sire, dam, tattoos, breeding status, service dates, service sires, etc.
Original registration papers ARE REQUIRED for all consignments and must be brought to the sale and be signed and turned into sale management on Friday, March 27th. If you store your registration papers electronically and don’t wish to request your paper copies from AAA, you will need to transfer your own registrations to your buyers.
Health papers MUST be prepared prior to arriving at the sale site. Cattle sold out of state will have health papers reassigned after the sale to the new buyer, and with the health guidelines of the buyer’s state of residence. Bring 2 copies of all health papers along to the sale. Each lot should be on an individual health paper and must have an 840 series EID ear tag.
A semen evaluation of all bulls 1 year of age by sale day is required and must include scrotal measurements. Bulls that are over 18 months of age by sale day or any non-virgin bulls must be tested free of Trichomoniasis. All consignments must be at the sale facility no later than 1 pm, March 27th.
Washing of animals will not be allowed in the chute in the middle of the barn. A pen toward the load-out area will be available for spot washing. You may want to consider other arrangements prior to arriving for washing.
All consignors must be paid members of the Southern Indiana Angus Association to sell in the sale.
All females selling 45 days bred or over must be examined safe in calf by a veterinarian palpation with confirmation included on the health paper. Blood test confirmation is also acceptable with a copy of the lab confirmation.
Be sure to take precautions to ensure that heifers selling as open are open.
Production age females should sell bred or with a calf at side unless selling as a donor.
In accordance with Packers and Stockyards, you will be required to sign a marketing
agreement that will be provided at the time of processing.
Be sure to contact sales management to assist any potential buyers if needed.
