The Indiana Angus Association is proud to recognize Jim and Randi Patton as the recipients of the Vera Sherbhan Award, honoring their lifetime of dedication, family heritage, and commitment to the Angus breed.

The Patton family’s Angus story began in 1945, when Forest Patton established the foundation of what would become a multigenerational family legacy. Jim was just four years old when the first black cattle arrived on the farm. Today, the family celebrates 81 years in the Angus business.

Throughout the years, Jim and Randi worked side by side, dedicating their time and energy to their family, their community, and the Indiana Angus Association. Together, they raised three children and welcomed eight grandchildren. Five of their grandchildren now continue the family tradition by showing cattle.

Watching the next generation step into the show ring is a meaningful continuation of the legacy Jim and Randi built together.

The Vera Sherbhan Award recognizes integrity, dedication, and a lifelong commitment to the Indiana Angus family. Jim and Randi Patton represent each of those qualities.

Congratulations to Jim Patton and in loving memory of Randi Patton. Thank you for your incredible dedication to the Angus breed and the Indiana Angus community.
