Angus breeders led 118 entries at the 2020 Dixie National Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, February 9 in Jackson, Miss. Dustin Hurlbut, Clark, S.D., evaluated 92 females and 26 bulls before choosing the winners.
Seldom Rest Sandy 8092 was named grand champion female after first winning intermediate champion. Kathryn Coleman, Modesto, Calif., owns the May 2018 daughter of EXAR Classen 1422B.
Wilson Cattle Company, Cloverdale, Ind., and HVF Cattle Farm LLC, Magnet, Ind., led the reserve grand champion female. WCC Primrose F40 is a May 2018 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. She earlier won reserve intermediate champion.
EXAR Express Way 1079B earned grand champion bull honors. Express Angus Ranches, Yukon, Okla., own the February 2019 son of Conley Express 7211. He first claimed junior calf champion.
Horstman Secret Society 961G was selected as the reserve grand champion bull. Larry & Joe Horstman, West Lafayette, Ind., own the May 2019 son of PVF Blacklist 7077. He earlier claimed reserve junior calf champion.
