Angus Champions Named at 2021 American Royal ROV Show
Angus enthusiasts gathered for the 2021 American Royal Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, October 23 in Kansas City, Mo. Randy Mullinix, Toulan, Ill., evaluated the 161 entries, which included 139 females, 19 bulls and three cow-calf pairs.
M C SSF Night Sky 9088 claimed grand champion and senior champion bull honors. Zach McCall, Greenville, Va.; Sunrise Sunset Farm, Williamsburg, Ind.; and Dawn Acres, West Friendship, Md., own the September 2019 son of S&R Roundtable J328.
Seldom Rest Farms, Niles, Mich., owns the reserve grand champion bull. Seldom Rest Express 0105 is a July 2020 son of Conley Express 7211. He first won intermediate champion.
UDE Queen Ruth 0204 won grand champion female for Rance Wheeler, Paris, Mo. The March 2020 daughter of KR Casino 6243 first won late junior champion.
Seldom Rest Pin Up Gal 1060 claimed reserve grand champion female for Seldom Rest Farms, Niles, Mich. The March 2021 daughter of Seldom Rest Sandman 6075 also won late junior calf champion.
Kynan DeMoss, Bowie, Texas, owns the grand champion cow-calf pair. SJH Roundtable of 9633 7100 is an April 2017 daughter of S&R Roundtable J328. A June 2021 bull calf sired by RWDE D209 Super Style is at side.
Bar S Blackbird 9108 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair for Jayce Dickerson, Paradise, Kan. She is the February 2019 daughter of BC Alpha c1327. A March 2021 heifer calf sired by Bar S Range Boss 8180 completes the winning pair.
