Angus breeders led 122 entries at the 2018 All-American Angus Breeders’ Futurity Roll of Victory (ROV) Show, June 17 in Louisville, Ky. Bill Conley, Clarksdale, Mo., evaluated 89 females, 22 bulls, and 11 cow-calf pairs before choosing the winners.
T/R NFF Princess E307 was named supreme champion and grand champion female. Kayden Nowatzke, Michigan City, Ind., owns the May 2017 daughter of Dameron First Class. She first won intermediate champion.
Marcus Van Vorhis, Bowling Green, Ohio, led the reserve grand champion female after winning late junior champion. SSF Blackcap 4037 is an April 2017 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153.
DAJS AH Cool Cat 530 earned grand champion bull honors. Andrew Hodges, Montague, Texas, owns the July 2017 son of Colburn Primo 5153. He first won intermediate champion.
A P S Admiral was selected as the reserve grand champion bull. Anne Patton Schubert, Taylorsville, Ky., and Long Angus, Blue Mound, Ill., own the April 2016 son of HB Guyman 485. He first won senior champion.
Lauryn Mool, Lexington, Ill., owns the grand champion cow-calf pair. TopLine FCF Proven Queen 161 is a February 2016 daughter of Dameron First Class. A January 2018 heifer calf sired by Hurlbut OSU Final Exam 5130 completes the winning duo.
Jamie Smith and Quintin Smith, both of Lebanon, Tenn: and Papa Ganoush Angus Farms LLC, Watertown, Tenn., own the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. DS Lady Peak Dot 0354 is a September 2014 daughter of S A V Brilliance 8077. A November 2017 heifer calf sired by SAC Conversation completes the pair.
