SIAA SCHOLARSHIP

GOAL

To give one high school or continuing education student a $750.00 scholarship to be used for further education in a college/ junior college/ trade school/ or any extended education.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Family must be SIAA members for at least a year
• Must be a member of the Indiana Angus Junior Association
• Graduating High School Senior or present student in extended education
• Send a recent picture
• Send resume – listing activities/ GPA/ Accomplishments (Sports, Academics, Church, Community)
• Attach a 1 page essay including the PAST information about your herd, shows, and family; the PRESENT status of your life and your Angus connections, awards, activities, and experiences, and the FUTURE goals for your life.
• Can only receive SIAA Scholarship once unless there are no other applicants for that year.
• Recipient will be strongly encouraged to attend a SIAA meeting to give a short acceptance speech and meet the members.

This would be awarded annually. Applications must be returned by October 1 to John Finke 8512 E. 600 N. Columbus, IN 47203-9747. The Scholarship Committee will decide and announce the winner at the Indiana Angus Annual Meeting and at the Southern Indiana Meeting. Funds would be advanced after proof of first semester grades are sent to the SIAA treasurer. Check will be made payable to the winner.
