Indiana Jr. Officer Roles:

 

President – General supervision of the affairs of the Indiana Junior Angus Association subject to the directions of the members, , and shall preside at all meetings.  The President shall appoint all committees of the association and assume any duties that generally pertain to the office of President.  The President shall serve on the committee to appoint the new advisors. 

First Vice President – shall, in the absence, disability or inability of the President, perform the duties and exercise the powers of the President.  The 1st Vice President will serve on the committee to appoint the new advisors and shall also be responsible for membership.

Second Vice President – shall assume the responsibilities of fundraising.

Third Vice President – shall assume the responsibilities of the show display and decorations and the Indiana Preview Show and shall also be responsible for securing the awards for the Junior Angus Preview Show.

Past President – shall serve on the advisory board to the Juniors.

Secretary – shall keep documentation of all meetings.  After each meeting, the Secretary is responsible for sending the minutes to the Indiana Angus News , Junior Advisors, Reporter, and the President.

Treasurer – shall keep an account of all receipts and expenses.  The Treasurer shall work with the First Vice President on membership recruitment.  A financial report shall be submitted at each meeting.

Reporter – shall be responsible for assembling a scrapbook of the Indiana Junior Association.  He/she shall be responsible for collecting photographs, articles, letters, and other miscellaneous items needed for the scrapbook.

Assistant Reporter – shall help and support the Reporter

Communications Director – shall be responsible for keeping the members informed by writing an article for each issue of the Indiana Angus News.

Representative to the Adult Board – shall represent the juniors at the adult board meetings and update them on current activities.

National Voting Delegates – will serve as the state’s delegates for the election of the NJAA Board.  The two delegates are required to attend the National Junior Angus Show.  Each Junior is limited to two terms as a voting delegate.

Directors – two from each district shall be responsible for collecting scrapbook material from their district and send it to the reporter.  They shall make public all matters of business to their district.  They shall work closely with the officer team and serve on any committees.

Advisors - shall advise, guide, and direct the Juniors in all activities.  Two advisors shall be appointed each year to serve a 3 year term.
